Taking walks together many times allows conversation to become much easier, because you’re experiencing life happening in real time outdoors, where there are many things to stimulate your senses.

As a couple, walking together gives the two of you some time alone, and provides time to talk to one another without the distraction of telephone, television, computer, etc. Walking together can also reduce anxiety and make you feel calmer.

Walking in your neighborhood, especially at times when other neighbors are walking makes it easy to meet people and get to know your neighborhood better.

Take advantage of parks and trails that are available near you. While walking you both will be more aware of the sound of birds, the beauty and fragrance of flowers, the majesty of trees, and the fact that God makes extraordinary things that we tend to take for granted.
